Burberry Prorsum Resort 2013

Burberry Prorsum Resort 2013
Burberry's results continue to defy gravity, so it's obvious that Christopher Bailey has found a formula that works. The problem with formulae is that they become…well…formulaic. This pre-collection will likely linger in stores longer than any other collection Bailey applies himself to during the year, so maybe it was the commercial expectations attached to such an idea that made it feel like he soft-pedaled on the charming twists that have been making Prorsum so winning of late.  More after the jump.

Acne Resort 2013

For Acne Resort 2013, it’s all about communication. It’s a young girl who works in PR and who communicates herself in a street-style kind of way, she is fast and she is vocal. These times are all about finances and she wears her’s on her clothes with coloured note-like prints.

Stella McCartney Resort 2013

I love this Garden Party Resort Collection! The accessories are to die for and the light blue pieces look just so nice in contrast to all white outfits. Leopard prints, florals, laces - in yellow, red, light blue, white and pink . The cut from trousers and blazers impeccably done. Want to see the rest? After the jump.

Moschino Cheap & Chic Resort

Creative director Rossella Jardini took inspiration from Italian neorealism and Fellini’s Dolce Vita style, delivering a resort wardrobe fit for the contemporary diva. The daywear ranged from sexy draped pencil dresses to puffy taffeta skirts worn with striped cardigans featuring embroidered pearls for an easy yet chic look. Silk and organza evening dresses were embellished with chiffon feathers and sequins, while a tuxedo-inspired jumpsuit reflected the brand’s ironic touch. Jardini also continued the fall collection’s “postcard prints” theme, this time paying tribute to Rome with images of the Eternal City on T-shirts and minidresses. (WWD)
