Continuing her clever plays on texture
from last season, Rachel Comey sent out plenty of fresh fall options,
from a perforated top belted over a leather and wool A-line skirt to a
crisp mock-turtleneck blouse worn with flood pants.
For a more modern twist, she fashioned a Fifties-esque frock out of shiny black nylon and added clear plastic straps to another, while boxy knits and pops of metallic brocade complimented her lust-worthy two-tone booties. There were a few prints, a long-stem rose one most notably, but it was the fabrics and the pared-down aesthetic that will keep Comey’s girls coming back for more. (WWD)
