“This season I wanted to intersect romanticism with minimalism by
pairing unexpected elements,” said Frida Giannini. “This collection of
nuances and subtleties strikes a modern balance between strong and
soft.” Thus, the masculine mood of oversize silk georgette shirts, slim
camel hair blazers and wide pants in wool crepe were graciously balanced
by pleated maxiskirts in silk georgette and round-neck fluid silk
dresses. One dress was done in a delicate floral Oshibana print plucked
from the company’s archive, circa early Eighties. Giannini also took a
glamorous turn into outerwear with an opulent fox fur and a
