Duchess of Cambridge’s midas touch continues as Hobbs coat sells out

The Duchess of Cambridge wearing the Celest coat by Hobbs in Liverpool
The brown Hobbs coat wore by the Duchess of Cambridge in Liverpool today has promptly depleted the high-street retailer's online stock.
Until the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in Liverpool earlier today, her brown Celeste coat by Hobbs had been languishing upon a virtual sale rail on the retailer's website.

Rumoured to have been snapped up by Kate for £369 back in September, the chestnut-hued style from the label's autumn/winter 2011 collection had since been slashed to less than half its original price - £182 - to make way for a throng of spring stock.
However, within hours of Kate's public appearance at the Action on Addiction dry bar in Liverpool this morning, interest in her chic coat prompted buyers to log on and snap up Kate's style for a fraction of the price, making the wool coat a sell-out success.
Hobbs chairman Iain MacRitchie commented: "We are delighted to see our designers getting recognition for their creative talent and the Hobbs brand credentials." To read the full article, click here.
