Acoording to Lauren Milligan, from Vogue UK, AMY WINEHOUSE's father, Mitch, has spoken out against the Jean Paul Gaultier show which paid tribute to his daughter's iconic style; calling it "an insult" to the singer.

"The family was upset to see those pictures, they were a total shock," he said. "We're still grieving for her loss, and we've had a difficult week with the six-month anniversary of Amy's death. To see her image lifted wholesale to sell clothes was a wrench we were not expecting or consulted on. We're proud of her influence on fashion but find black veils on models, smoking cigarettes with a barbershop quartet singing her music in bad taste. It portrays a view of Amy when she was not at her best, and glamorises some of the more upsetting times in her life. That's upsetting for her family."

"No one asked us for permission or offered to make a donation to the foundation," he told the Sun. "This is purely about Gaultier making money, and that's wrong."

He later Tweeted from his personal account, @mitchwinehouse: "We don't support the Jean Paul Gaultier collection. It's in bad taste. Mitch."

Sorry Mitch,  we disagree with you, and where is the freedom of a designer to draw a collection about a random theme? She was a public person, everyone has one of hers CDs laying at home, and I believe the couldn't be an insult, everything was so beautiful... I think is more about Mitch wanting a donation. It always about money... so why not cashing another huge ammount on someone else's work? It's a shame. I'm sticking up with Gaultier.

O pai de Amy Winehouse, Mitch, parece  nao ter gostado do tributo prestado em forma de colecao, a colecao de Jean Paul Gaultier, onde modelos exibiram makes inspirados na diva Winehouse. Seu pai achou um insulto. Achou tudo um "mal gosto" e considera que a colecao tenha sido feita apenas com o intuito de ganhar mais dinheiro a custa de sua filha. Ele ainda ressaltou que NAO FORAM OFERECIDAS DOACOES A FUNDACAO de sua familia. Humm... sera que foi mal gosto do Gaultier ou sera que o Pai Mitch so que ganhar mais um cheque para engordar sua conta? Amy Winehouse era uma pessoa publica, com milhares de fas pelo mundo, cada um com um CD em casa e algum tipo de sentimento pela cantora. Achamos que foi um tributo e que ficou lindo! Das modelos aos acessorios, tudo perfeito! Adoramos. E sentimos muito... se o Sr. Mitch nao se comoveu com o show, acho que nao se comove com mais nada.. estava lindo!
