Harper’s wardrobe

Move over, Suri Cruise; 2012 is about a new mini fashionista. Of course, we’re talking about Harper Seven, Victoria Beckham’s mini-me who was a style-icon-in-the-making from the moment she popped into the world. So it comes as no surprise to hear Proud Dad David telling US Weekly, ‘[Harper] has so many little dresses! I didn't realise how excited I would get over buying hair bows’. Aww.

 And we see what he means! Forget Mrs Beckham’s figure-flattering frocks and would you look at Harper’s array of pretty outfits? Cute-a-rama! The 5-month-old has been paraded around town for several months now (replacing those Katie Hillier-collab’d bags as VB’s new accessory) and is always perfectly co-ordinated with her mummy. No chance of a colour clash here, ladies.

 Plus, there’ll be no terry towelling rompers either. We’ve seen Harper showcasing many a Bonpoint ensemble (our fave being that fetching checked number), Marie Chantal dresses, a Stella McCartney Kids creation [above right], several cardigans AND a brown Terre de Sienna onesie to match VB’s fur jacket. Oh, and let’s not forget those ruffled socks, ribbed Chloe tights (costing THIRTY POUNDS!) and a gazillion headbands. ‘We went in to Prada yesterday and she loved it,’ Beckham has said. ‘It was as if she was saying, 'Mummy, I'm home!' Seriously, what’s next? Mini Louboutins and diddy Birkins? *jels*

But what most impresses everybody about Harper’s wardrobe is the lack of pinkness. When we first heard the happy news that Victoria was pregnant with a girl, we imagined a Baby Becklet covered in pastels, fluff and florals. Instead, the designer has kept the ensembles rather modest, choosing neutral colours and simple rather than garish prints. What’s more, VB is clearly having a ton of fun dressing up her daughter.
