Phoebe Philo continued to explore her
aesthetic at Celine with spare, often monochromatic, sportswear that at
times verged on mannish.
For pre-fall, she coolly evolved the look with a
play on textures and proportions, mixing and matching several different
woven patterns in a black coat, adding volume through a peplum tucked
under a jacket and softening a leather track suit with a large leather
bow detail at the neckline. For evening, Philo showed her penchant for
strong lines with a cap-sleeve white gown featuring a structured top and
a straight skirt. And the extensive assortment of bags looked great,
including new color combinations for her hit Phantom style.
