Spring '12 runways were filled with a range of bold trends,
and whilst the threads may not be hitting racks down under just yet,
the beauty of living in the southern hemisphere is that we can get a
head start on the latest trends whilst the US and UK are still in the
depths of Winter (*insert evil cackle here*). We've found five fab and
easy to wear looks that are good to go now. From peplum extras to diaphanous silhouettes, these catwalk looks will easily translate to the streets. Get ahead of the curve with our preview.
Spring's peplum trend was spotted on the runways of Givenchy, Chanel,
and Yves Saint Laurent. We love how this trend automatically cinches in
the waist, instantly creating a flattering curve. Pair a peplum top with
a pencil skirt or streamlined trousers for a chic office look or go all
out and don a dressier rendition for evening occasions.

Flowy Cuts
It's easy to see why diaphanous gowns are ultra
flattering. They cinch in where they're supposed to and fall away from
the body in one romantic swoop.

Babydoll
Babydolls are back — with a few new twists and
embellishments. We love the idea of wearing them with statement heels
for a grown-up take on the girlie trend.

Colorblocking is here to stay, but if you're still unsure
of jumping on the train, try it out in small doses. Pair a colorblock
skirt with a solid blouse or tee and top off the look with heels for a
sporty femme look.

Play around with a little bit, or a lot, of fringe this
Spring. To avoid a costumey look, opt for a knee-length fringe skirt or
swingy dress for a flirty look.
