KATY Perry and Russell Brand's lawyers will be working out flat out
on an amicable divorce settlement as the couple did not have a
pre-nuptial agreement.
Russell confirmed today that their 14-month marriage was over, saying: “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”
When Katy and Russell tied the knot in India in October 2009, they
did so contract-free. Explaining why, Russell said at the time: "I'm
trying to preserve and make it a beautiful thing.
The comedian and the pop singer's marriage took place at a resort
near a tiger reserve. Both reportedly wore traditional Indian clothes,
with the bride and other female guests dressed in saris.
It was also reported that 21 camels, elephants and horses formed
part of Brand's wedding procession from a nearby resort. He was also
accompanied by traditional dancers and musicians.
Guests including comic David Baddiel and rapper P Diddy had watched
Russell and Katy tied together with silk scarves as they circled a fire
in a traditional Hindu ceremony.

The happy couple had treated their guests to a sumptuous
Bollywood-style feast ahead of the big day - featuring snake charmers
and traditional dancers, as well as a pre-wedding safari trip.

having a massive fight with her husband Russell Brand she booked a
flight to Hawaii. She spent her Christmas vacation at a private villa
with some of her friends. A photo shows her on a beach in the Pacific
Ocean off Kaui without wearing her wedding ring.
