AnnaSophia Robb has scored the coveted lead role in CW’s pilot The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to HBO’s smash hit Sex and the City. The 18-year-old actress will take on the role of a young Carrie Bradshaw, which Sarah Jessica Parker made famous.
The show centers around Carrie “who comes of age in the 1980s and is
asking her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while
exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan,” Variety reports.
AnnaSophia most recently appeared in Soul Surfer. She’s also starred in Race to Witch Mountain and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
